I made my first long motorcycle travel on July 2004. I had this idea for a very long time. For most of the european motorcyclists, to reach the Scandinavian NorthKapp is one of the dreamed travels to be made at least once in its life. On summer 2003, when my motorbike had reached 90.000 kilometers, I decided to undertake a great trip to arrive at the mythical number of 100.000 kilometers.
From the Basque Country to NorthKapp : 10 000 kilometers!
When I saw the distance, I must admit that it discouraged me. And then, I had an idea : as I used to work in an radiostation called Gure Irratia, why not record some chronicles during the voyage and seek sponsors. As Gure Irratia and the Newspaper Journal du Pays Basque gived me their agreement to publish the reports in exchanges of advertising spaces for my partners, I was able to realize this project.
Who are we? : The passenger for this trip is called Elke Roloff and my name is Mikel Etxebarria and actually I work for Radiokultura.com.
